Week 16 - Casey's Jack Torrance

Maybe it was the recent AV Club feature on "The Overlook" (hello road trip!) or maybe it's just the fact that I've watched this movie more times than I can count, either way this week the inspiration hit for The Shining's very own Jack Torrance. I can only hope I did full justice to his greasy comb-over.

    bad-ass! however, i never quite understood the living tree hedges in the novel version of the Shining.

    I know right? So random. Wasn't there also some weird stuff w/ a wasp nest or something? The Kubrick film though, freakin' amazing.

    oh, i don't remember the wasp part, but i remember there was some more back story to room 217 with some mafia hit that went down there. but yeah, kubrick's version is quite the film...and so is the Simpsons' "Shinning" version, too. haha.
