The First week of Tag Team Tuesdays!
With Casey's suggestion, we started out with a pretty rad, and fairly obscure subject; the GARTHIM SOLDIER! Known from 'The Dark Crystal' this behemoth beetle was the brute force behind the Skeksis.
I always wanted to see more of these guys, and thought they were just amazing. When sketching out ideas, I got to thinking: "what's better than the Garthim? A f*cking Skeksis riding a Garthim! With that bad ass sword too!" (clearly, I was listening to some pretty bad metal).
After 5 passes at it, here's the result and the FIRST contribution to TAG TEAM TUESDAYS!
I call it: "hide yo Gelflings, hide yo podlings, cause we're draining yo essence up in here."
